The IWGA, together with the organisers of The World Games Series inaugural event, are proud to unveil the official designs for the medal and key chain, to be distributed at the prestigious international event set to take place in Hong Kong, China, from 11-13 October 2024.
These beautifully designed items feature the iconic city’s skyline as well as the newly designed creative event logo. The designs reflect the spirit of unity and excellence that The World Games embodies, with a captivating nod to Hong Kong’s breathtaking skyline, which has become a symbol of the city, recognised worldwide.
The medal design combines tradition and elegance. On one side, the logo of The World Games Series is boldly displayed, emphasising the international prestige of the event. The reverse side showcases a detailed engraving of the Hong Kong skyline.
The medal, finished in gold, silver or bronze, offers athletes a timeless symbol of their accomplishment, while the colour-gradient lanyard in TWG shades of purple and turquoise adds a modern touch and the energy of a global sport competition.
In addition to the medals, a limited-edition key chain has been produced to be distributed to guests. Similar to the medal, the key chain features a dual-sided design. The front showcases The World Games Series logo, underscoring the significance of the event, while the back highlights a sleek illustration of Hong Kong’s horizon. Crafted in gold-tone metal, the key chain offers a great souvenir for attendees to remember their time at the first ever edition of The World Games Series event.
IWGA President José Perurena commented, “The IWGA extends its gratitude to the Organising Committee for designing the medals and preparing a special gift for our guests. We are confident that athletes and participants will cherish these beautifully crafted items as both a symbol of their experience and a lasting connection to the vibrant culture of Hong Kong, the first-ever host city of The World Games Series.”
