With just 30 days remaining, excitement is building for the first-ever edition of The World Games Series, set to take place in Hong Kong, China, from October 11-13, 2024. The event marks a pivotal moment on the road to The World Games 2025 in Chengdu, China.
Organised by the International World Games Association (IWGA) in cooperation with the Local Organising Committee (LOC), the Hong Kong event will showcase top athletes from three sports: Cheerleading, Roller Freestyle, and Wushu. The competition will be held at Hong Kong GO PARK Sai Sha, where 88 athletes (44 men and 44 women) will compete for 11 qualification spots for The World Games 2025.

The event promises to blend sporting excellence with a festive, cultural experience, with all logistics and accommodations managed by the host city. Backed by the Samaranch Foundation and the local government, the event will bring a global spotlight to Hong Kong.
The International World Games Association (IWGA) is a non-profit-making international sports organisation recognised and supported by the International Olympic Committee. The IWGA comprises 40 International Member Sports Federations. It administers and promotes The World Games (TWG), a multi-sport event held every four years that features around 35 sports on its programme. The next edition of TWG will be in Chengdu (CHN) from 7-17 August 2025. 5,000 participants from more than 100 countries are expected to take part in this 12th edition. The latest Games were hosted by Birmingham, Alabama (USA).
