Wushu Tournament Beijing 2008Mr. Gilbert Felli, Executive Director of the Olympic Games, sent a letter to all the National Olympic Committees on December 7, 2006, notifying that there will be a wushu tournament `Beijing 2008' during the Olympic Games. The dates will be August 21 ' 24, 2008. The venue will be the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium. 120 athletes from 25 national federations will take part. The events will include taolu and sanshou for both men and women. The athletes will be able to qualify in the 9th World Wushu Championships.The World Games 2009 Kaohsiung - Invitational SportThe 9th World Games will be held in Kaohsiung, TPE, from July 16 to 26, 2009. On behalf of the International Wushu Federation (IWUF), Mr. Wang Xiaolin, Secretary General of the IWUF, has been discussing  wushu's participation in The World Games 2009 with the President of International World Games Association and CEO of the Kaohsiung Organizing Committee (KOC) on a number of occasions. The KOC now officially informed the IWUF that wushu will be one of the invitational sports of The World Games 2009 Kaohsiung.From the IWUF website!
