The second competition day of the TWG Series Hong Kong wrapped up at GO PARK Sai Sha, showcasing impressive performances across multiple disciplines and producing several qualifiers for the upcoming edition of The World Games 2025 in Chengdu, China.

Gold medallist Po Yan Lau from Hong Kong expressed her joy after winning in the Women's Nanquan-Nandao event. "I'm really happy to represent Hong Kong and earn this gold medal here. The competition format was different, but it helped me perform better in the second round. I’m also thrilled about the opportunity for Wushu to qualify for The World Games," she said.

Lau will make her debut at The World Games next year, eager to showcase her skills on an even bigger global stage.

Another homegrown talent, Yeung Chung Hei, triumphed in the Men's Taijiquan-Taijijian event. "It's special to compete in my hometown," Yeung shared. "I enjoyed this competition so much, and I will give my best effort at The World Games in Chengdu next year." Already a silver medallist from Birmingham 2022, Yeung is determined to claim gold in his second TWG appearance.

Italian athlete Ilaria Guslandi was another standout, winning the Inline Slalom Classic Women's event. "I’m so happy to win this competition. It’s been a great experience, and I can’t wait for Chengdu 2025," Guslandi said, also mentioning the excitement of competing alongside her brother, who is also qualified in Roller Inline Freestyle.

India’s Jinesh Satyan Nanal had a stellar performance over the two days, securing a silver medal in the Men's Inline Slalom Classic after winning bronze earlier in the competition. "It’s been a tough but rewarding event," Nanal remarked. "I hoped for gold, but I’m happy with my silver. The event was well-organised, and I’m looking forward to what’s next."

The USA’s Pom Doubles team claimed gold with a flawless routine, praising their preparation and training. "We trained at 100% all the time to ensure we were ready," they said.

They are now looking ahead to Chengdu 2025, where they plan to continue their gold-winning momentum.
