Running with TWG 2017 team!

2nd Wroactiv Run for 10 km

Ukrainian runner Bogdan Semenovytch won the 2. PZU Wroactiv 10 km run with an impressive result of 30 minutes and 26 seconds. Dominika Napieraj from Wrocław was the fastest female contestant – 33m 51s. Start and finish line were set at the Wrocław Stadium’s esplanade. The course led through Śląska Av. and Królewiecka St. Wrocław Stadium will be one of The World Games 2017 venues and will host opening and closing ceremony of the event.

The Organizing Committee of The World Games 2017 was represented by the team of employees and fans of TWG. - Running is one of the most accessible forms of physical activity. As the organizers of TWG 2017 we actively seek to get involved in recreational events. We are interested in promoting all kinds of physical activities. It's important to emphasize that sport and activity are key to being in a good mood - says Piotr Przygoński, President of the Wrocław Organizing Committee.

The International World Games Association (IWGA) is a non-profit-making international sports organisation recognised and supported by the International Olympic Committee. The IWGA comprises 40 International Member Sports Federations. It administers and promotes The World Games (TWG), a multi-sport event held every four years that features around 35 sports on its programme. The next edition of TWG will be in Chengdu (CHN) from 7-17 August 2025. 5,000 participants from more than 100 countries are expected to take part in this 12th edition. The latest Games were hosted by Birmingham, Alabama (USA).
