Aerobic: TWG2017 qualifiers confirmed

The International World Games Association organises in cooperation with the Wroclaw Organizing Committee a National Olympic Committee a meeting on 17–19 October 2016. The event will be held in Wroclaw, Poland, host of The World Games 2017 (20 - 30 July).

The meeting will give the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) an opportunity to familiarise themselves with 10th edition of the multi-sports event. The President of the International Olympic Committee, Dr Thomas Bach, has earlier encouraged all NOCs to support The World Games.

The meeting in October enables the NOCs to plan the stay of their qualified athletes and teams in Wroclaw well in advance. In addition to meetings with representatives from the City of Wroclaw, the Wroclaw Organizing Committee, the Polish Olympic Committee and the IWGA, the NOCs will have an opportunity to tour the venues, hotels and the City of Wroclaw.

The International World Games Association (IWGA) is a non-profit-making international sports organisation recognised and supported by the International Olympic Committee. The IWGA comprises 40 International Member Sports Federations. It administers and promotes The World Games (TWG), a multi-sport event held every four years that features around 35 sports on its programme. The next edition of TWG will be in Chengdu (CHN) from 7-17 August 2025. 5,000 participants from more than 100 countries are expected to take part in this 12th edition. The latest Games were hosted by Birmingham, Alabama (USA).
