Welcome, Mr. President

At the Annual General Meeting of the IWGA in Belek/Turkey in April delegates elected José Perurena Lopez as the new President of the International World Games Association. José Perurena, a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), said after his election: Together we will take The World Games to the next level.”

Describing his goals José Perurena added: “My plan for the future years is having an agreement with the IOC to use our multi-sport event for the possible alternatives of the future sports that go to the Olympics." Not only for this reason he has been very pleased about the decision of the IOC to cooperate with The World Games regarding the sports program composition and their respective evaluations.

The World Games 2017 in Wroclaw Poland will be the first edition under the responsibility of the new President.
