27 Sports on the Main Stage

In August, the International World Games Association presented the sport programme for the 10th World Games in Wroclaw (Poland) in 2017. Lacrosse (Women), Floorball (Men) and Muaythai will make their debut in the official competition programme. A total of 27 sports will be showcased at the multi-sport event in Wroclaw.

During the ten competition days, about 170 medal events will be on the programme. In comparison to The World Games 2013 in Cali (Colombia), the IWGA has also made changes with regard to some disciplines. Rock’n’Roll will be part of the Dance Sport competitions. Salsa will now be integrated in the official programme. The supporters of Air Sports are looking forward to the debut of “Glider Aerobatics” und “Paramotoring”.

The following sports were already on the programme of the very first World Games in Santa Clara (USA) in 1981: Bowling, Finswimming, Gymnastics, Karate, Powerlifting, Racquetball, Roller Sports, Tug of War und Water Skiing. So the 10th edition of the multi-sport event will mark a special anniversary for these sports.
