As many as twenty-eight sets of medals are up for grabs today, with twelve of them in Jiu-Jitsu. Two more will be fought for in the Boulder discipline in Sport Climbing, which for sure will attract a large crowd. Archery and Beach Handball reach the conclusion of their tournaments today. It’s the first day of competition for Jiu-Jitsu, Muaythai and Orienteering. Sixteen sports are being competed in today.
Eight days of Archery at Avondale Park conclude with the men’s and women’s Field Barebow Semi-finals and Finals, while at Sloss Furnaces, the Bronze matches and Finals in Beach Handball will take place.
As well as those mentioned above, there are medal events in Gymnastics at the Legacy Arena where there are three classes today: Acrobatics Pair, Acrobatics Pair (women) and men’s Double Mini Trampoline. The Sprint races in Orienteering are in the morning at the Panther Soccer Stadium. The Women 540 kg class in Tug of War is at the University of Alabama Track & Field Stadium, and Waterski Slalom and Trick (men and women) reach the medal stage at Double Oak Lake.
It’s Quarter-finals day for all 4 classes in Billiards at the Sheraton Ballroom, and for both men and women in Squash (University of Alabama Student Recreation Center). In Flying Disc (John Carroll High School) there are 2 Placement matches and the two Semi-finals. Two Placement matches also comprise the women’s Lacrosse (Compass Soccer Stadium) programme today. Four matches in Korfball at the East Exhibit Hall, Jefferson are the last of the Preliminary match series.
In Canoe Polo at Crossplex – Natatorium there are 8 men’s and 4 women’s Preliminary matches – the reverse of yesterday. There are 5 matches in Wheelchair Rugby at Crossplex – Indoor Track today.
As in Jiu-Jitsu (Bill Battle Coliseum), Muaythai in its first day of three at the Boutwell Auditorium has 12 classes – 6 men’s and 6 women’s – all of them today at the Quarter-final stage.

The World Games is a multi-sport event staged every four years by the International World Games Association, organised with the support of the International Olympic Committee. The 11th edition of The World Games will be held in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, 7-17 July 2022. 3,600 athletes from 34 sports and over 100 countries will take part in The World Games.
