VISSLA ISA World Junior Surfing Championship

 April 5-13 - Salinas, Ecuador

2014-isa-world-junior-surfing-championship-ecuador 02The VISSLA ISA World Junior Surfing Championship (WJSC) kicked off with the first day of competition on Sunday at the left point break and beach break waves at "La Loberia" (La FAE), in Ecuador. Tricky conditions greeted the world's best Junior surfers from around the world who put on a display of high performance surfing.

The 2014 VISSLA ISA World Surfing Games resumes today at 7:40am with The Morning Show hosted by Beau Hodges and Mateo Rojas.
  
Following that, the competition will feature:
12 heats of under-16 Boy's Qualifying Round 2 (Main Podium)
12 heats of under-18 Boy's Qualifying Round 2 (Main Podium)
12 heats of under-16 Girl's Qualifying Round 1 (Second Podium)
12 heats of under-18 Girl's Qualifying Round 1 (Second Podium)

The International World Games Association (IWGA) is a non-profit-making international sports organisation recognised and supported by the International Olympic Committee. The IWGA comprises 40 International Member Sports Federations. It administers and promotes The World Games (TWG), a multi-sport event held every four years that features around 35 sports on its programme. The next edition of TWG will be in Chengdu (CHN) from 7-17 August 2025. 5,000 participants from more than 100 countries are expected to take part in this 12th edition. The latest Games were hosted by Birmingham, Alabama (USA).
