14 sets of medals, Individual or Team, will be fought for today. This is the last day for Softball, Boules, Racquetball and Wushu, and the first for Billiards, Kickboxing, Korfball and Squash.

Softball at the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium concludes with the Bronze medal match and Final, and Boules at the University of Alabama Track & Field Stadium has competitions in Lyonnaise Precision Shooting and Women’s Classic Doubles Pétanque (both from start through to Finals). Racquetball at the university Student Recreation Center has Semi-finals and Finals for both men and women, and in Wushu at the Bill Battle Coliseum there are 5 classes, all right through to the medals.

There are medal events too today in women’s Fistball (Bronze and Final matches), at Panther Soccer Stadium, and Gymnastics at the Legacy Arena. Here, there are 4 medal competitions: Aerobics Group, Aerobics Trio, and Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs and Ribbon.

The sports starting today: Billiards has four events: men’s and women’s Pool, men’s Carom and men’s Snooker. All the matches today are to reduce the initial 32 competitors down to 16. The Sheraton Ballroom in the Jefferson Complex is the venue. Kickboxing takes place at the Boutwell Auditorium, the first day of two with 6 classes (3 women’s, 3 men’s) in Quarter and Semi-finals. Korfball is also at Jefferson, in the East Exhibit Hall; there are 4 Preliminary matches today. Squash is at the same venue as Racquetball, and begins with singles elimination matches for men and women.

It’s semi-finals day for Flag Football at Legion Field, for both men and women, and also for men’s Fistball. Three days of men’s and women’s Field Barebow in Archery start today at Avondale Park. There are more Preliminary matches in Flying Disc at John Carroll High School, women’s Lacrosse at Compass Soccer Stadium, and women’s and men’s Beach Handball at Sloss Furnaces.

The World Games is a multi-sport event staged every four years by the International World Games Association, organised with the support of the International Olympic Committee. The 11th edition of The World Games will be held in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, 7-17 July 2022. 3,600 athletes from 34 sports and over 100 countries will take part in The World Games.

The International World Games Association (IWGA) is a non-profit-making international sports organisation recognised and supported by the International Olympic Committee. The IWGA comprises 40 International Member Sports Federations. It administers and promotes The World Games (TWG), a multi-sport event held every four years that features around 35 sports on its programme. The next edition of TWG will be in Chengdu (CHN) from 7-17 August 2025. 5,000 participants from more than 100 countries are expected to take part in this 12th edition. The latest Games were hosted by Birmingham, Alabama (USA).
