Poland To Host WSF Development & Coaching Conference
12 February 2014

The World Squash Federation has appointed the Polish city of Krakow to host the 2014 WSF Development & Coaching Conference.

Incorporating a progression theme, the title for the biennial four-day international gathering is 'From Talent to Excellence'. The event will take place from 25-28 June and will feature presentations from world class coaches and players.

The Conference is being held in conjunction with the Polish League Finals, an international all-glass court event held in a square of the historic city.

Welcoming the opportunity for a large number of Polish coaches to join with international attendees, Polish Squash Federation Director of Sport Maciej Klis said: "Squash is the fastest-growing of all sports in Poland and it is important for us to have the opportunity to host top overseas players at our Finals, and now to interact with the cream of coaches in the world to help widen our knowledge and skills.
"This WSF Conference is a very important step for the Polish coach education system where the numbers and quality has grown rapidly in last couple of years."

WSF Chief Executive Andrew Shelley added: "We look forward to finalising a world class programme for the Conference, to stimulate the attendees. Furthermore, the event will give the opportunity for many worldwide coaches to visit Krakow for the first time - and that will be a memorable experience in itself too!"
