Adam Ondra takes the lead

Five days left to go and the race for the IWGA Athlete of the Year is still open. Until 31st January supporters can still make their favorite athlete or team win by participating in the voting on the website: www.theworldgames.org.

Looking at the preliminary results after nearly four weeks of voting, the Czech climber Adam Ondra (Athlete of the Month for August) has taken the lead with 25 % of the votes. The second place currently goes to the Italian Latin Dance couple Nino Langella & Khrystyna Moshenska, Athletes of the Month for September, with now 22 % of the votes. The Powerlifter Carl Yngvar Christensen from Norway (14 %), Athlete of the Month for November, lost his third place to Valentina Shevchenko (Peru). “The Bullet”, World Champion in Muaythai (Athlete of the Month for May) has achieved 21 % of the votes.
