Canada's Rhaea Stinn (31) is an experienced powerlifter who started her competition career in 2003. This month she enjoyed a convincing win in the IPF Open World Championships in the Women’s 84 kg class in Dubai. Moreover, she currently holds World Records in both the 72 kg and 84 kg weight classes in the Equipped Open division. More than deservedly, she is our Athlete of November!

Rhaea Stinn has been competing in Powerlifting since 2003, and internationally since 2005. She was the 75 kg Sub-Junior World Champion in 2006, 84 kg+ Junior World Champion in 2011 and now most recently, 84 kg Open World Champion in 2019. She was also the 75 kg Junior Bench Open World Champion in 2010. Stinn has competed in three editions of The World Games: she placed 5th in 2017, 4th in 2013, and 6th in 2009.

Rhaea Stinn will receive The World Games Athlete of the Month diploma as well as a branded gift from the Official Sponsor of Athlete of the Month, Protective Life.

 The World Games is a multi-sport event staged every four years by the International World Games Association under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee. The 11th edition of The World Games will be held in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, 15-25 July 2021. 3,600 athletes from over 30 sports and 100 countries will take part in the Games.

The International World Games Association (IWGA) is a non-profit-making international sports organisation recognised and supported by the International Olympic Committee. The IWGA comprises 40 International Member Sports Federations. It administers and promotes The World Games (TWG), a multi-sport event held every four years that features around 35 sports on its programme. The next edition of TWG will be in Chengdu (CHN) from 7-17 August 2025. 5,000 participants from more than 100 countries are expected to take part in this 12th edition. The latest Games were hosted by Birmingham, Alabama (USA).
