Media accreditation opens for The World Games Series – Hong Kong 2024
The IWGA and the event Organising Committee are pleased to announce the opening of media accreditation for international media for the inaugural event of The World Games Series –11-13 October 2024 in Hong Kong, China.

Deadline for registration is Tuesday 10 October 2024 11:30 pm (GMT+8).

Entries and Schedule
88 athletes (44 men, 44 women) representing 36 countries from three International Federations (IFs) are expected to shine across 11 events.
Consult detailed schedule here. Opening Ceremony will be held from 4-5pm on Friday 11 October at the Go Park Shai Sha.
Results will be provided by SwissTiming and available on the IWGA website.
Qualification Spots for The World Games 2025
The participating athletes will compete for a chance to qualify for The World Games 2025. All competitions and the Opening Ceremony will be held at the GO PARK Sai Sha, 9 Hoi Ying Road, Sai Sha Rd, Ma On Shan, Hong Kong.
In total, 11 quota places for Chengdu will be allocated following this first edition.

All sessions for Cheerleading, Roller and Wushu will be live streamed on The World Games Live player and national broadcast partner: RTHK. Highlights and news will be available on the TWG Live and shared with media agencies worldwide.

The International World Games Association (IWGA) is a non-profit-making international sports organisation recognised and supported by the International Olympic Committee. The IWGA comprises 40 International Member Sports Federations. It administers and promotes The World Games (TWG), a multi-sport event held every four years that features around 35 sports on its programme. The next edition of TWG will be in Chengdu (CHN) from 7-17 August 2025. 5,000 participants from more than 100 countries are expected to take part in this 12th edition. The latest Games were hosted by Birmingham, Alabama (USA).
