It’s medals day for 10 sports taking place today. Team competitions reach their climax in Wheelchair Rugby and Korfball. Elimination competitions with finals today include Billiards, Canoe Polo, Muaythai, Roller Sports and Squash. Single-day competitions complete the programmes in Gymnastics, Orienteering and Duathlon.
Following 20 inter-nation matches over the past four days in Wheelchair Rugby, we get to the Bronze medal match and Final in this new TWG sport, being held at the Crossplex Indoor Track. Korfball (East Exhibit Hall) has a Placement match followed by Bronze and Final matches to finish the tournament.
Billiards (Sheraton Ballroom) has finals in men’s Carom and men’s Snooker today. In Canoe Polo at Crossplex - Natatorium, and in Squash at the University of Alabama Student Recreation Center, Bronze medal matches and Finals will take place for men and women. Muaythai (Boutwell Auditorium) also has Bronze and Final matches, in 12 classes in all. There are 3 classes in Roller Sports at the Harris Arena today: Artistic Dance – Couples Free Dance, and the Long programmes in men’s and women’s Artistic Freeskating.
Three medal events in Gymnastics take place at the Legacy Arena: Acrobatics Men’s Group, women’s Trampoline Double and men’s Tumbling. Orienteering finishes with a Mixed Sprint Relay at Railroad Park, and at the same venue there is a Relay in Duathlon.
