Chantal-Boehi-IWGA-General-Manager copy copyMs. Chantal Boehi has been appointed as the new General Manager of the International World Games Association. This was announced by IWGA President José Perurena at the IWGA Annual General Meeting in Sochi/Russia. She replaces Ms. Patsy Dew who served in this position from 2005 to 2015 and worked at the IWGA office in Colorado Springs, USA.

José Perurena introduced the new General Manager to the delegates of the 37 member federations at the AGM on Tuesday. At the same time he took the opportunity to thank Patsy Dew for running the office for so long: “We all really appreciate what Patsy has done not only for us but also for our federations.” IWGA Honorary Life President Ron Froehlich praised her involvement in the development of The World Games: “You did a great job. I only had to call her and to say what I needed and it was done: efficiently and correctly. On behalf of the board and our member federations I want to thank you.” She received an commemorative present recognizing her outstanding work and one of the IWGA watches, sponsored by Tissot.

Ron Froehlich welcomed the new General Manager: “Chantal, good luck.” José Perurena said: “I am convinced that we have found the right person to run our headquarters. She held the position of an Event Manager for over ten years at the Sports Office of the City of Lausanne. So she is well acquainted with the challenges in sports organizations and cooperation with international federations."

Her first task will be to set up the IWGA office at the Maison du Sport in Lausanne, with all administrative duties. After this first step, her role will be to work on general administrative tasks, to support the federations and to collaborate with the host cities.

Ms. Chantal Boehi said about the challenge of working as  General Manager: “Sport is my passion and therefore I am very enthusiastic about pursuing my career in the IWGA. I am especially happy about the diversity of the IWGA member Federations. Their sports, events and disciplines offer a great perspective on worldwide sport.”
