The World Games family is mourning the loss of one of its most prominent members, former President of the International Gymnastics Federation, Bruno Grandi from Italy.
Himself a former gymnast, he dedicated his life to helping others achieve their sporting dreams, as a coach, team leader and judge, and as an administrator and decision-maker at national and international level. An influential member of the International Olympic Committee, he retained a special place in his heart for The World Games and for the gymnastic disciplines that feature on our programme. We shall all miss him.
The World Games is a multi-sport event staged every four years by the International World Games Association under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee. The 11th edition of The World Games will be held in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, 15-25 July 2021. 3,600 athletes from over 30 sports and 100 countries will take part in the Games.
