Members of the board of the International World Games Association visiting Wroclaw

World Archery Federation has invited Members of the board of the International World Games Association headed by Honorary President Ron Froehlich, to visit  Wrocław between 7 and 9 of August this year.

The purpose of this visit is to observe the organization of the World Cup in Archery being held in Wrocław. Archery disciplines are listed in the Official Sport Programme of The World Games 2017 (TWG 2017).

Afterwards, Max Bishop - IWGA Vice President, Joachim Gossow - IWGA Chief Executive Officer and Ron Froehlich - Honorary President of IWGA met with representatives of the Wroclaw Organizing Committee of The World Games 2017.

Joachim Gossow – The meeting was short but very intense. I am very glad that we were able to determine more details in the topic of venues that will hold upcoming games.;

Later on they discussed issues related to the marketing and media concepts, sport program, and on  the organizational framework for the November Competition Managers Meeting.

Piotr Przygoński the President of The World Games 2017 Wroclaw Organizing Committee - This kind of visits are very important for us organizers. We know how hard we have to work today, to enjoy this great event with our fans in 2017 and to make sure it is going to be a big success.

The International World Games Association (IWGA) is a non-profit-making international sports organisation recognised and supported by the International Olympic Committee. The IWGA comprises 40 International Member Sports Federations. It administers and promotes The World Games (TWG), a multi-sport event held every four years that features around 35 sports on its programme. The next edition of TWG will be in Chengdu (CHN) from 7-17 August 2025. 5,000 participants from more than 100 countries are expected to take part in this 12th edition. The latest Games were hosted by Birmingham, Alabama (USA).
