Sparkling New Partnership

The World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) is pleased to announce the conclusion of a global partnership agreement with Swarovski, the leading producer of precision-cut crystal for fashion, jewelry and home décor.

Under the agreement, Swarovski is named as the main partner for the WDSF GrandSlam Series, the six-leg series comprising 12 premier tournaments in the Latin American and the Standard dances. The partnership will debut with the Series’ inaugural leg that is held on March 7 and 8 in Helsinki, Finland.

Swarovski crystals have long brought sparkle to costumes and jewelry across the world of dance. By partnering with the governing body and by associating its name with the most elite tournaments held under the auspices of WDSF, Swarovski is forging even closer links with DanceSport.

“Entering into an agreement with a renowned brand such as Swarovski strengthens the GrandSlam property further,” WDSF First Vice-President Lukas Hinder commented on the partnership. “Together with our organizers in the host countries, we have been running the series successfully since 2003. Having a strong global partner joining us at this point honors the efforts that have been made to establish the GrandSlams at the top of our four-tier open competition structure.”
