The World Games Family congratulates IWGA Honorary Member, former IWGA Board member Rinaldo Orlandi on the recognition he has received: last week, Mr. Orlandi was awarded the Silver Star for Sporting Merit by the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

The President of CONI, Mr. Giovanni Malagò, mentioned his appreciation for the management skills Mr. Orlandi demonstrated and the results he obtained in his career as a sports official. In addition, he highlighted Mr. Orlandi’s generous cooperation and dedication throughout many years of support for sport.

“As President of the IWGA, I can only underline what President Malagò said in his address. “Mr. Orlandi still supports the IWGA in the position of Secretary of the Ethics Committee. We thank him for his dedication to our organisation! On behalf of the entire IWGA Family I would like once again to congratulate Mr. Orlandi on this award,” Perurena concludes.

Rinaldo Orlandi served as an IWGA Board Member from 2002 until 2014. Since 2016 he has been a member of the IWGA Ethics Committee.
