José Perurena on ASOIF Board

Congratulations to IWGA President José Perurena on his election to the ASOIF board. The election took place in Sochi (Russia) on Wednesday.

ASOIF is the Association of all the International Federations involved in the Summer Olympic Games. ASOIF elected new Council Member José Perurena (President of the International Canoe Federation) on the toss of a Swiss five-franc coin after two ties with Chungwon Choue (World Taekwando Federation). As a bonus, José Perurena was allowed to keep the five Franc coin! On behalf of the whole IWGA family Vice President Max Bishop offered him warm congratulations, quipping: “We hope you’ll be spending the 5 francs on a round of drinks for IWGA members!”
