IWGA Meets OBS

A delegation from the International World Games Association (IWGA) headed by President José Perurena met in Madrid with Olympic Broadcasting Services’ CEO Yiannis Exarchos and his group of experts on Tuesday 11 November 2014. The purpose of the meeting was to elicit a possible relationship between OBS and IWGA for the 2017 & 2021 World Games.

Both parties exchanged information on their different projects that are in process and looked for common views in the media area which may allow a future collaboration for adding value to the world of olympic and non-olympic sports. Especially "The World Games Channel" project presentation was of high interest to the OBS representatives.

CEO Yiannis Exarchos and IWGA President José Perurena closed the fruitful meeting with the intention to accelerate the exchange of information between their media experts and to stay in close contact for a possible future collaboration.

Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) was created by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 2001 in order to serve as the Host Broadcaster organization for all Olympic Games.
