Hagen Bossdorf is taking up a consulting position as ‘TV & New Media Coordinator’ with the International World Games Association (IWGA). On behalf of the IWGA, Bossdorf will be in charge of the production, distribution and marketing of all video content of The World Games. Hagen Bossdorf, who is based in Berlin/Germany, will already be working with the IWGA at The World Games in Cali/Colombia (July 25 – August 4).
“The digital distribution of The World Games as an event every four years is just as an important as raising awareness of our sports between these events,” says Ron Froehlich, President of the IWGA. “This therefore is a key project to further develop our multi-sport event and ensure future success. Starting in Cali 2013, we would like to make this important step towards the 10th edition of The World Games in Wroclaw/Poland 2017.”
“To me The World Games are an outstanding sporting event. Not only do some participating sports have tremendous potential, but the overall event itself has too,” adds Hagen Bossdorf. “Naturally I’m really looking forward to this collaboration with the IWGA and its members”.
Bossdorf himself worked for the German TV broadcaster ARD from 1992 until 2007 including as a commentator at the Olympic Games, different Football World Cups and the Tour de France.
