The Pictures of TWG 2017: The Spanish production company ISB in cooperation with ATM system from Poland will provide more than 340 hours of TV production of The World Games 2017 in Wrocław Poland (20 – 30 July). The host broadcaster is ready to deliver  state of the art pictures of the multi-sports event for the world. It will be the best TV production of The World Games ever.

Live feeds, news clips and delayed recaps of the competition will be available for TV channels in more than 120 countries such as China, Germany, Japan, and Russia and in the USA on the Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA, a newly launched cable television network. In addition, the Olympic Channel will distribute The World Games globally.

The quality of the TV production for TWG 2017 will be state of the art for international sports productions, ensuring outstanding coverage of the event. The main signal production centre, the International Broadcasting Centre (IBC), will be established in the 1,000+ square meters facility of the ATM group in Bielany Wrocławskie. In addition to this, the TV footage will be edited at the Olympic Channel production centre in Madrid. The channel will set up a 24/7 feed that covers all events of The World Games in Poland.

Eight fully equipped OB vans will produce a TV signal for each of the 27 sports on the official programme, plus the four invitational sports. In addition SN units will be available to deliver even more pictures of the competitions and also of special events such as the performances on The World Games Plaza in the city centre of Wroclaw.

IWGA President José Perurena recognized the high level standard of  the broadcast facilities: “This decision regarding TV production is fundamental to delivering a very successful World Games for the media. It ensures international media distribution with companies worldwide.” 

ATM is the largest independent TV producer in Poland. Dorota Baron and Mariusz are in charge of the production for ATM. Manolo Romero from IBS, one of the most experienced TV producers of sport events, was appointed as head of the project team. Manolo Romero was responsible for TV production of the Olympics from 1968 onwards. For The World Games 2017 he has gathered a team of experts coming from all over Europe with experience3 in the production of several sports on the Olympic program.    

About The World Games

The World Games – under the patronage of the IOC - are a quadrennial and multidisciplinary sports event. About 3,500 athletes from approximately 100 countries take part in The World Games. The 10th edition of The World Games will take place in Wroclaw/ Poland from 20 to 30 July 2017.

The International World Games Association (IWGA) is a non-profit-making international sports organisation recognised and supported by the International Olympic Committee. The IWGA comprises 40 International Member Sports Federations. It administers and promotes The World Games (TWG), a multi-sport event held every four years that features around 35 sports on its programme. The next edition of TWG will be in Chengdu (CHN) from 7-17 August 2025. 5,000 participants from more than 100 countries are expected to take part in this 12th edition. The latest Games were hosted by Birmingham, Alabama (USA).
