Germany new World Champion
The team of coach Silke Eber won the final on Saturday by 3:1 (10:12, 15:14, 11:7, 15:13) against the Austrian team and realised the fourth victory at Women’s Fistball World Championships.
Up to 3000 spectators enjoyed a really exciting and thrilling final at the Ostra-Sportpark in Dresden/Germany.
Especially the offensive players from the 2 finalist teams, Sonja Pfrommer (Germany) and Magdalena Lindorfer (Austria) dominated the match.
The bronze medal went to Brazil: The cup holders won against Switzerland by 3:0 (11:4, 11:8, 11:5).
