Deadline for Media Accreditation for The World Games 2022 approaches

To cover and attend TWG 2022 events in Birmingham, Alabama, media representatives need to be accredited in advance. The deadline for Media Accreditation for The World Games 2022 approaches.

The process is conducted online. To apply for accreditation, go to: http://www.twg2022.com/credentials

Applicants will receive an automatically generated message confirming that their application has been received and is being processed.

Submitting an application does not automatically guarantee that a media accreditation will be issued. Information regarding the application’s acceptance or denial will be sent to the e-mail address provided by the applicant.

Applications will be accepted until 15 May.

Journalists working in cooperation with National Olympic Committees or National Sports Organisations are kindly requested to check the appropriate box on their application. The TWG 2022 accreditation team will seek confirmation from the appropriate organization that the person in question has been delegated.

Media staff of the International Federations can be accredited as Extra Officials.

Accreditation cards will be available for pickup starting 5 July in the Main Media Center located in the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex, 2100 Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd. North.

 The World Games is a multi-sport event staged every four years by the International World Games Association, organised with the support of the International Olympic Committee. The 11th edition of The World Games will be held in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, 7-17 July 2022. 3,600 athletes from 34 sports and over 100 countries will take part in The World Games.

The International World Games Association (IWGA) is a non-profit-making international sports organisation recognised and supported by the International Olympic Committee. The IWGA comprises 40 International Member Sports Federations. It administers and promotes The World Games (TWG), a multi-sport event held every four years that features around 35 sports on its programme. The next edition of TWG will be in Chengdu (CHN) from 7-17 August 2025. 5,000 participants from more than 100 countries are expected to take part in this 12th edition. The latest Games were hosted by Birmingham, Alabama (USA).
