Twice is nice: Lalita Yuennan and Warawut Saengsriruang

On Friday, fighter Kanjutha Phattaraboonsorn had won the first gold medal for Thailand in the Women's Fighting 48 kg class at The World Games 2022 and the first ever for her country in Ju-Jitsu at The World Games. On Saturday, Lalita Yuennan and Warawut Saengsriruang doubled the haul. The duo won the mixed competition at the Coliseum at Birmingham Southern College. Admittedly, the victory was a close one. They defeated the Belgian duo Ian Lodens and Charis Gravensteyn by half a point. The score 75 - 74.5 points. They had already beaten the Belgian pair in the pool round (72 - 69.5). Speaking on Facebook before the games, Lalita Yuennan asked for energy and heartfelt support for her team at the Games. The good wishes of the fans have apparently arrived in Birmingham and have produced a gold medal.
