Polish Kickboxing Championships

Polish Championships were held in Kicboxing (K-1Rules) in Wrocław

On Saturday, June 14th, Polish Championships were held in Kicboxing (K-1Rules) in Wrocław. Over 100 fights were attended by 120 athletes (seniors) from 44 clubs. Additionally began also qualifications to the European Championships, which will be organized in the autumn.

The event was a success. Wrocław, the capital of Lower Silesia, was worthy to be host city such an event because of a long tradition of kickboxing and - as shown by table of medals - is a dominant position on the domestic kickboxing market.

Kickboxing is on the list of Wroclaw's invitational sports of The World Games 2017 and during the Sport Accord Convention Wako - World Association of Kickboxing Organizations - became a member of IWGA. 





The International World Games Association (IWGA) is a non-profit-making international sports organisation recognised and supported by the International Olympic Committee. The IWGA comprises 40 International Member Sports Federations. It administers and promotes The World Games (TWG), a multi-sport event held every four years that features around 35 sports on its programme. The next edition of TWG will be in Chengdu (CHN) from 7-17 August 2025. 5,000 participants from more than 100 countries are expected to take part in this 12th edition. The latest Games were hosted by Birmingham, Alabama (USA).
