With great excitement and anticipation, the Chengdu 2025 Local Organising Committee marked the one-year countdown to The World Games 2025 by unveiling the official mascots and slogan for the event. The captivating ceremony introduced SHU BAO the panda and JIN ZAI the monkey, alongside the dynamic slogan, "Boundless Sports, Countless Wonders."

The journey to select the mascots and slogan began on December 28, 2023, culminating on February 28, 2024, with an overwhelming response from around the globe. A staggering 1,924 mascot designs and 3,749 slogan submissions were received, reflecting a rich diversity of creativity and international interest for 12th edition of The World Games.

Introducing SHU BAO and JIN ZAI

SHU BAO and JIN ZAI, the chosen mascots, perfectly embody the spirit of Sichuan province and the vibrant essence of Chengdu. SHU BAO, a panda, symbolises the region's rich natural heritage which is often represented by the iconic giant panda, while JIN ZAI, a golden snub-nosed monkey , represents the province's unique biodiversity. Their charming and cute designs are set to captivate audiences of all ages, adding a touch of warmth and excitement to the Games.

The mascots were designed to integrate deeply with Chinese culture and the sporting spirit, reflecting the event’s themes of city image, sport performances, international cooperation, and cultural exchange. SHU BAO and JIN ZAI symbolise harmonious coexistence and the boundless possibilities ahead, poised to become cherished cultural icons.

The slogan for The World Games 2025 encapsulates the vast array of sports and the myriad experiences Chengdu offers. The International World Games Association (IWGA) is a non-profit-making international sports organisation recognised and supported by the International Olympic Committee. The IWGA comprises 40 International Member Sports Federations. It administers and promotes The World Games (TWG), a multi-sport event held every four years that features around 35 sports on its programme. The next edition of TWG will be in Chengdu (CHN) from 7-17 August 2025. 5,000 participants from more than 100 countries are expected to take part in this 12th edition. The latest Games were hosted by Birmingham, Alabama (USA).
