Athletes of the Day 7

published on 27 July, 2017

Every day the International World Games Association awards prizes for the male and female IWGA Athlete of the Day - powered by Tissot! Today, the jury of experts has selected Waterskier Natallia Berdnikava (BLR) and Kickboxer Slobodan Mijajlovic (SRB) as Athletes of Day 7.

Natallia Berdnikava has no less than seven World Records to her credit in her career - four in Tricks and three in Overall. She has won World Championships titles in Jump, Tricks and Overall. Her last World Jump Record was 58.6 m - very impressive. Yesterday, she won the Tricks competition and today Waterski Jumping, making her double TWG2017 Champion. As she was the last starter today, she did not have to jump more than once. Her first round’s result was good enough to give her the victory, so she did not start on rounds two and three!

Slobodan Mijajlovic, current Kickboxing K1 European and World Champion was impressive in his World Games matches in the semi-finals and finals. In today’s final he took a clear victory over his opponent Jason Hinds (CAN), taking the first The World Games 2017 Champion title in Men’s 67 kg K1 Kickboxing.
